AR9285 Wifi card dropping connection or won't even connect

OK, I've struggling with this issue in Ubuntu for a little while now, very hit or miss it seems... somethimes it won't connect at all, sometimes it connects for a few minutes and disconnects etc....

Anybody else have the card and has experienced similar issues and found a work around?

I have 2 machines running this and the same issue is happening in both.
