    How do I check the status of my RAM in Ubuntu?
    I'm OCD about it...

    OCD? whats that

    in terminal you can check free memory with:

    free -m

    Go to "system monitor" and from there, you can see the amount of RAM used, and the total amount available (for example, 450 MB of 2 GB used).
