    Using apache2 aliases with CodeIgniter

    Hello again guys,

So as part of an application I have done with CodeIgniter 2.0.2, I have an upload/download system.

For security reasons (not allowing ftp users to reach the web side of things and vice versa.

For uploads, this system works fine, because I just upload the files to the directory, which is outside the home directory of the web files. For the download system however, this doesn't allow downloads of the file as it tries to go to the directory as if it was under the home directory.

Has anyone managed to get aliases working with CodeIgniter 2.0.2 and is able to tell me how to get it working properly?

    Rurik
