    Question Installing over ubuntu

    Hi my ubuntu 10.10 quit loading and i want to install KDE over it but i dont remember how i originaly partitoned it the KDE install gives me a guided option that does not use entire disk (i want to keep my windows intact) will it replace meerkat without damaging windows?

    Choose "Something Else" at the disk preparation stage of the installation and you will be able to see all the current partitions, and then will be able to choose the correct ones to reuse, ie overwrite with the new version of Kubuntu.

    Make sure you backup all important files first.
