The Kubuntu sales link goes straight to the Ubuntu shop, without any sign of any Kubuntu discs. So it looks like the plan is to add in kubuntu-desktop and then clean up afterwards.

Cool thanks I hope it is complete with atleast a sleeve and disc label (like ubuntu shop discs)- I want it as a tidy professional install disc. I would as hope that bit of money goes to kubuntu in some way, seeing as the point of purchase something i like.

Otherwise i just torrent the Kubuntu disc, or do as Lars Noodén stated.

What advantage does buying give you over downloading them yourself? Is there something extra to them?

For me it has to do with download speed. It takes me 30 to 45 minutes to download 10 MB. It would take days to down load something like one CD assuming no line drops.

    Re: Buy Disks

Do you know that 8.10 and 10.10 have both reached end-of-life?

This means that they are no longer supported and don't receive any security updates, both releases now have security issues that won't ever get fixed.
