    Backing up other users

    Running 12.04

I have set up the included Backup control to back up /home/me on a regular basis to a NAS, and it works perfectly.

However, my wife's home directory (/home/mywife) will not back up, as I cannot access it from my username without invoking sudo.

Is there a way to run the backup job as a superuser?

    Thanks!

Backing up using sudo is running as a superuser.
The whole thing is so patently infantile, so foreign to reality, that to anyone with a friendly attitude to humanity it is painful to think that the great majority of mortals will never be able to rise above this view of life.
