    Memory Upgrade PanP7

I'm looking to upgrade the memory in my Pangolin and just wondering what the maximum amount is, what speed it is and if possible what brand memory was originally used. The last one's not really that important I'm just a little anal about keeping all the memory from the same source. I currently have 6gb but have been having to run a lot of VMs lately and would like to allocate more memory to them.

    My trusty PanP7 came with Apacer memory ... 4GB (2 x 2GB) labeled 2GB SODIMM PC3-10600 CL9. Basically, DDR3-1333 (http://http://www.tomshardware.com/f...hat-difference)

The laptop is based on this old Clevo model: http://http://www.avadirect.com/gami...asp?PRID=15899
(scroll down for the memory specs.)

It looks like the max memory is 8GB which seems to ring a bell with me as one of the ordering options from way back when.

I'm also considering a memory upgrade and perhaps an SSD just for fun -- but on balance I'd have to report that this machine (core i7 version) is still snappy as heck.

    Regards,
    Robert M.

Nice, thanks for the reply. I tried looking up the CLEVO but all the links seemed to be dead. Thanks for the link that could come in handy again some time.

I've got the i5 but 6gb of RAM and the SSD. It's a good machine. I have no complaints. I only got the 80gb SSD though and it's starting to fill up and since I've been running two or three VMs it's the first time the 6gb of RAM hasn't been enough. Or at least enough for me to run them at the performance level I have become accustomed to.
