    Transfering music to iPhone 4 w. iOS6

    Hello there,

I just wanted to ask if somebody has found a way to transfer music to iPhone 4 updated to iOS 6 from Ubuntu. I did some digging and it seems that libgpod does not support iPhone 4.

Rhythmbox, gtkpod and Amarok sync with latest libgpod >= 0.7.90. The iPhone 4/4S, iPod Touch 4, iPad 1/2/3rd Gen and Apple TV do NOT work.
Any device with DBVersion > 4 does NOT work. To check your DBVersion run "ideviceinfo -q com.apple.mobile.iTunes -k DBVersion". WIP.

Has someone found a way to put music on the phone without using iTunes?

    Thanks,
    - Christo
    How do you sudo?

No one here uses an iPhone? Good choice!
Seems that I will be stuck with f***ing iTunes on a virtual xp...
    I hate it so much!

    Hey,

    ive used this:

upload music to Ubuntu one (or any other cloud service). you can either play it from there, or open it in an app like MP3 Music Downloader.

Then that track is saved in that app, on your iphone.

    hope this helps.

Otherwise, get angry with Apple, not Ubuntu Linux.
