Today, I discovered that I had lost all sound. No idea how or when this happened but there is no sound whatsover when I play any sound file through or Yany player or through the browser on youtube.
I did some research and I followed the steps in https://help.ubuntu.com/community/So...otingProcedure
In step 3, I found I have a problem
http://www.alsa-project.org/db/?f=59...6f0d52b36243c0
The library and utilies versions vary and I dont know how to fix.
!!ALSA Version !!------------ Driver version: 1.0.23 Library version: 1.0.24.1 Utilities version: 1.0.24.2It says:
2. ALSA was correctly installed or upgraded, but a wrong / old kernel was booted instead of the most recent kernel version. In that case, boot the newest kernel version (that is available in the standard/default Ubuntu repositories) and then retest sound.
I have no clue how I boot with the newest kernel version. Any other ideas on how to fix?
Thanks
