Hi there, I have posted this idea on Brainstorm and I thought we could talk about it here.

http://brainstorm.ubuntu.com/idea/30217/

Basically what it says is that, user-wise, the locked screen and the login screen have absolutely the same function: everything I can do on the lock screen (log back in, log another user) is also on the login screen, and more.

In fact, if i disabled the screen-lock and programmed Ubuntu to show the login screen* when going out of the screensaver, no function would be lost and useability would be improved. Can I already do it?
* without loging out the previous user, naturally.

I wished I could write a longer post to explain the pros and cons of my idea but really, it's that simple. Two screens, same function, one is redundant, get rid of it.
