Find a tutorial and start coding.

Synaptic package manager has the licenses.

You might find it easier to take a course.

Not in front of anything Ubuntu right now, but search on openjdk, click on the license tab.

    OR do what I do:

    http://lmgtfy.com/?q=openjdk+license

It generally doesn't ask you to accept a license if it's a common Open Source license. The sun/oracle jdk license they'll want you to accept separately.

Seriously you new guys need to start reading the licenses. There aren't that many, and Open Source licenses are easy to understand. There's a lot of misinformation going around about licenses, proving that nobody is taking the 5 minutes to read it.
