ls hangs when ntfs symlink not available

    Hi

Im experiencing problems with accessing certain folders in my home directory. The problem seem to be related to symlinks to an nfs mount which is not always available.

If the nfs mount is lost, then trying to ls in the folder with the symlink causes the command to hang. I can't even ^C it.

Although I think I've found what is causing the problem, Im not sure how to fix it.

    Any ideas?

    Hi,
Same here. I also have a few CIFS running but it looks as if these are ok.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Cheers
