I have just updated my LTS edition to 12.04, 32 bit on my laptop, which has a dual boot with Windows 7 64 bit.
I have some language learning programs written for Windows XP 32 bit on CDRom, which can either run from the CDRom in XP 32 bit, or be installed to XP 32 bit.
Is there an easy way to run these on Ubuntu 12.04 32 bit using virtualisation, without having to obtain and install another instance of Windows XP 32 bit?
I tried using Wine, but although the program seemed to install from the CDRom, it wouldn't run.
Am I wasting my time?
Should it be possible fairly easily, and if so, what is the most likely way for me to try?
Thanks
James
