    sharing wlan0 to eth0

    Hi,
I'm connected to a wireless network on my ubuntu 12.04 laptop. I can access the internet on my wlan0 connection. I want to share my connection to the eth0 interface. On the other side of the ethernet cable is a overo gumstick. Is it possible to share the internet connection with the overo and have my laptop work like a router?? Do I need a cross over cable??

This is what I've tried so far.

I have my wired connection set to "Share to other computers".
When the overo turns on ubuntu displays a message saying "eth0 connection enabled" and then about 10 seconds later saying "eth0 disconnected".
    I installed dnsmasq-base and firestarter.
When I run firestarter it says that I need to configure eth0 first.

    Any help would be great!

    All the best,

    Anthony

I need a cross over cable. Eventually I just gave up trying to figure out the configuration, and I bought a wireless wifi dongle.
