Ubuntu 12.10 is iffy at best in VirtualBox. Probably due to the above mentioned bugs. Hardware Acceleration does not work in any of the 12.10 'buntus in VirtualBox. Again, see above.

It isn't due to bugs, just the way graphics are now handled on systems that don't have graphics acceleration. It puts even more strain on the CPU to render the graphics too.

Kubuntu 12.10. Screenshot is from yesterday but desktop looks almost exactly the same now (clock, comic and active windows are different ).

Just trying out Elementary OS Luna.

Supposedly unstable but I'm not seeing it

Blazingly fast and a joy to use. I urge everyone to give it a go.

I dunno what to do because I love my Ubuntu 12.04 as well.

I tried elementary OS from the Live CD. The developers are doing a nice job with it.
