That's awesome, thanks, that's what I was looking for (not the covergloobus one)

Just one issue though, VLC doesn't get shadowed by Compiz with this skin applied... any idea how can I get a shadow under it?

    Cheers!

It doesn't have a back shadow on VLC for me either.. Also im using Kwin, not compiz. I might assume that the VLC skin would need to implement the shadow, as VLC does have a shadow, when using no skin (system theme/style).

I like your custom setup, and your custom KDM and Splash screens too. Here's my custom-made KDE splash screen.

I did it probably the same way you did... take an existing splash theme (whether built-in or downloaded), and changed the coding, backgrounds, translucent rectangle, and other elements accordingly. However, I also had to add more resolutions of the same image so it'd work with my dual displays.

I am going to have to make another custom KDE Splash once I upgrade to Quantal, since I'm planning on making a switch to Kubuntu... at least for this 6-month cycle. Nothing against Ubuntu at all... I still love it, it's still my favorite. But I've been using KDE quite a bit as my primary DE, so why not go with the KDE-based Ubuntu?
I like it, isn't so nice how just by carrying the same backdrop, and letting the splash' fade through the boot- just looks so clean and professional? That how i get experience to make my "themes" is to edit existing themes, or system files. I've not been editing much with KDE4 for long- but some point, i might be able to tackle on a full from scratch theme.

I first tried the theme on 12.04 . some of the 3.4 themes I have tried on 3.6 work fine and others don't work properly at all . The Nitrux icons from the developer don't display the cog icon properly in the unity panel but I use them in the Gnome Shell and XFCE. The umd set works fine in Unity http://www.omgubuntu.co.uk/2012/09/n...d-gets-updated

Nothing new, just the usual boredom.
