Netgear WNA1000M Wireless Adapter disconnecting after 10 minutes.

I recently installed Lubuntu 12.04 on my old low end computer with no wireless. I had bought a Netgear WNA1000M USB Wireless adapter to get wireless as it has no wireless card and its location is far away from my routher. After 10 minutes however the wireless will disconnect and won't reconnect until i restart my computer. Is there a fix for this?

I searched through the posting on this adapter. No more than 13 results.

And I found this interesting thread.

At the last posting I found which usb adapters that not work with ubuntu.
Among them are yours. If that says something. Maybe you could get your money back and buy one of the recomended dongles.
