    GNOME Desktop Environment

I just switched from K Desktop Environment to GNOME Desktop Environment. Currently, I have Ubuntu 12.04.1 64 bit LTS and I am using GNOME 3.5.4. I just woke up from sleeping late so it will take me a bit of time to write a detailed post. GNOME is familiar to me because I used Cinnamon and Ubuntu Unity. Fewer things go wrong in GNOME than KDE 4.9.1 so far. I will post detailed thoughts about GNOME 3.5.4 later.

How do I set a time limit for system notifications in GNOME?

What went wrong on KDE? Why do you mark these threads as solved? Why do you keep switching desktop envirnoments? Are you sure this isn't a case of "the grass is always greener on the other side"?

    Re: GNOME Desktop Environment

I am trying out new desktop environments for one week at a time. I want to see if others can answer my questions about each one.

GNOME has an annoying feature that tells me every time a system notification alert comes up and I have to click on it to get rid of it. How do I set a timer on these notifications to go away by themselves?

GNOME is too annoying for me to use for an entire week. I am not going to use it that much in the future.
