account trouble or forum bug ?

I tried to report this tread as (maybe) spam :

The forum tells me

I'm pretty sure I clicked the report button, not a CP link. The URL in the address bar says

Is there a problem with my account or is the report button broken ?

Hi, thank you for reporting spam.

You do not have a problem with your account. You see that message if the spam has been removed between you opening the thread to view it and clicking the report button.

This happens to me all the time, so I'm used to it now.
It can also happen if you let the page sit for a couple of minutes and then refresh.
I've also had this happened when I click the thread and am not logged in, then go to log in and am directed to the warning page.
I figure if I really was doing something troublesome, they'd(staff) fire a warning shot across me bow.
