Just did a fresh install B2 & the most interesting thing about that link is now there is a popup about installing webupd8 (a launcher icon ala Amazon, I guess webapps
Unfortunately it doesn't take no as an answer (actually there isn't a No option), & keeps appearing on every visit
For the moment I'm going to disable website integration, if that's what's from.

And when accepting such - a .desktop will be installed to ~/.local/share/applications in case one was looking for.
Let's hope there isn't one for omgubuntu, as whatever they are doing on that site, brings my system to a crawl, with xorg using 60 - 80% of the cpu cycles.
