How to maintain app so it work for all versions

    Hi all

I'm planning to upload proprietary app on Ubuntu Softvare Center. But I'm concered, if I make my app for 12.04 will it then work for 12.10 etc. If my app will not work for later versions, is there any way for updating my app so users of 12.10 could also use my app.

that depends entirely on how you write your app and what libraries it uses. I would take a stroll over to the Development & Programming forum portal:

But if my app don't work, for example in 12.10, is there any way of updating that app. I know I can reupload it, but is there a way to update it like we do it on PPA.
