    R.A.T. 9 Wireless Mouse Problems

I have a very strange issue with my R.A.T. 9 wireless mouse. When I plug it in, I can scroll and click etc, but I can't change window focus! Whenever I click on a window, it stays unfocused. This issue disappears as soon as unplug the receiver. Nothing obvious in dmesg. dmesg shows when I plugged in the receiver, when I unplugged my second mouse, and finally, when I plugged in my second mouse again, and when I unplugged the receiver. No errors around those times at all.

What other debug info should I provide?

    Ubuntu 12.04 64 bit.

I'm having the exact same problem. It happens to me in all the variants I've tried (like xubuntu, and mint).

Hmmm....xubuntu uses xfce and mint uses gnome doesn't it?

I should give this a try in fluxbox and see if that works. Let's try to narrow the problem down to x.org vs a window manager issue.

Have you tried any other distros yet? I have not. I should try that and see if that helps. Maybe I'll try SL6 and debian and see if it works better there.

Re: R.A.T. 9 Wireless Mouse Problems

I found the answer. Seems to be fixed by some X configuration magic. Works for me now on 12.04 Desktop.
