Unhappy nVidia only, instead of Optimus

    Hey all!

I've been researching around for a solution for this. What I want to do is to disable the Intel portion of my new computer's Optimus graphics card.

I have a GT 630M card, and the reason I want the nVidia portion only is for greater performance. I don't care about battery life - I rarely have the thing off the power cord.

Besides - I can't get Compiz to work :'( ... (and I've tried Bumblebee, and while I can run apps with that, I can't figure out how to get it to run Compiz)

Any help with this would be great!

    Thanks!
    Cy

No need to search around. Unless you have the option to turn off the integrated card in BIOS, and use discrete only, you are stuck with Bumblebee. So, BIOS is the only solution, but only a handful of laptop has that option (Lenovo ThinkPad being the most complete).
