Angry Laggy video with NVIDIA, help!

    Hello!

This is my first post, although I've been using Ubuntu for almost a year now, and Xubuntu for a few months.

My problem (actually jusy an annoyance): High quality videos on YouTube and others get just laggy. They skip some frames, making it really hard to watch them...

It would be OK if it were my video card, BUT I run Windows on the same computer (dual-boot) and I run 1024p videos on full screen without any lag, on youtube (from chrome).

And it sucks, because I'd hate to admit that Windows has anything better than Ubuntu, including support for playing videos.
I'm pretty sure there's a way to fix it.

    Thanks,
    Pedro

Try enabling vertical sync in your nvidia controls.

Is that under X Server Xvideo Settings?
