Just installed Ubuntu 12.04. Have a Brother DCP-197C printer/scanner. Any idea how I can get it working? Have tried the Printer thing in Settings with no success at all. Have also tried looking at drivers from the Brother website only to be told by Ubuntu Software Centre that the driver is of poor quality and might damage my system.
The printer is almost brand new and has worked very recently on a windows vista installation.
