    To stop the integrated app solicitations in Firefox:-

    Open the Tools menu & select Add-ons.
    Scroll down until you find "Unity Websites Integration"
    Click on "Disable" & restart Firefox

    This lens-shopping ordeal was the final push that made me uninstall unity and replace it with gnome 3.4.1

    I don't want to wait for 12.10 and I don't like using non-LTS distros.

    I originally got annoyed with the buggy keyboard shortcuts not working and the "suggested" programs in ubuntu one software center.
    Ubuntu 12.04. 64bit. Desktop version. Gnome 3.4.1 O͜͡.O~
