    Torchlight graphics doing crazy things...help?

    So i downloaded torchlight, and so far nothing is going well.
    i start up a new game, and everything looks all polygonal

    Game work just fine for me on intel gma 4000, whats your gfx card?

    Would be more helpful if you post the specs of the machine you're using, and also the graphic driver's version.

    im really not sure how to get all of my specs
    buuuttt i did my best figuring them out :\

    graphics: Intel Corporation Mobile GM965/GL960 Integrated Graphics Controller
    cpu: Pentium(R) Dual-Core CPU T4200 @ 2.00GHz
    also still using ubuntu 11.04

    And RAM?
    Did you re-install and update the game to the latest version if it is not already there?

    cant figure out how to find ram specs...

    but i just installed the latest version, it worked for a bit and then it went back to how it was in the original picture

    Try to re-install the game. I know, it's a pain, but it may solve the problem.

    Just for future reference if you want to know more about your compute then type
    lshw
    into terminal to list the hardware you have. If gives a lot of information so you may want to sieve through it to pick out the relevant bits.
    lspci
    gives information about your PCI attachments if you have a PC.
    There is an updated release available from the HIB website now (20-9-12) but it looks like (at time of writing this at least) the software center still has the old version that crashed at the portal to the 4th level.
