    Pardus 2008.0 Released

    Anyone tried it? Any thoughts?

    I really liked Pardus 2007.2.

Wonderful distro. It's not "just another" debian/suse/mandriva, but it's own distro from the ground up, really.
    It's kde centric though.
My only complaint would be the ugly icon theme they cant seem to change for something more, well modern. Now i'm just being picky though. It's hard to find much wrong with pardus you see
i'm *not* using pardus, so i'm not all that biased. (can't stand kde 3)

Do you know if it has wmii in the repos?
Pardus is highly kde/qt centric, and i think you would be unsatisfied with the lack of gtk/cli applications in the repos. No harm in trying though.

    I just read a review of the RC2: http://www.distro-review.com/review-pardus-2008-rc2

I'm downloading it now to check it out.

Remeber to visit #pardus on freenode if you have any problems. Those guys are *so* friendly and helpful. It's a turkish IRC channel mainly, but they speak english as well

Pardus is the closest one which does not make me uncomfortable with KDE I usually keep a Pardus installation in one of my partitions.

Hmm... I tried it out on my laptop. It is very pleasant to use and includes some nice themes.
My only issue so far is with its' Network Manager. It loses wifi connection frequently while browsing the web and streaming video.
