I have a Motorola droid razr and I would like to use it to hold my music. The only problem is that my Ubuntu 12.04 isn't detecting or showing any signs that my phone is plugged in via data cable. How can I make this work?

If its an android phone you are usually given a choice for the type of connection. Choose "Disk drive". More information can be found in your phone's instructions. I hope this helps.
