how would ubuntu work on this pc?

hello,
i have a dell inspiron 531 with a 64-bit amd athlon cpu, 2 gigs kingston( i think) sdram, 500 gig hdd. i was wondering how well this would work with ubuntu 12.4.2 LTS precise pangolin. i think it would work just fine, but i dont really know. also, how would it work on a Toshiba Satellite C655 with 3 gigs ram, 64-bit amd, 280 gigs hdd? i have been having trouble with said computer and compatibility with windows, though it was OEM'd with Win7. (had to format and reinstall) the amount of programs installed were ridiculous. it was a trade off, for a tablet. i hope it is compatible.

Works beautifully. I used that PC model before for 12.04. Not sure about the graphics since I provided my own card.

Both of your PC's should more than be compatible with 64 bit Ubuntu 12.04 and up.

@ ITBeast i am actually having A LOT of problems with the toshiba satellite. it seems to crash when i push a button on my USB WiFi Adapter, and has crashed 2 times since i isntalled yesterday. also, the screen flashes when i close the lid and open it. i think video card.
