    Question RAM Speed

    Hey everybody!

I bought memory for my first system build and I'm a bit confused. I've installed it and the UEFI BIOS says it's 1333MHz. Isn't it supposed to say 2400MHz?

    Re: RAM Speed

2400 Mhz is the highest clock speed it's rated for It doesn't mean it will run that fast without tweaking it in the bios or uefi whatever it is now you'll have to tweak the Ram multiplier if your bios supports it but it's a little tricker then that because you wanna keep your FSB and Ram speed at a 1:1 ratio for the best overall performance so you may have to raise your FSB speed basically you'd be overclocking which is quite a bit more complex then just raising the FSB and Ram speeds. If you can just adjust the Ram multiplier you may be able to get close to if not hit 2400 Mhz it really just comes down to what your bios supports.

Ohhh I see. Thanks for explaining that. I guess I have my research cut out for me.
