    Zenbook Prime Touch and Ubuntu

    hi,
I have a problem with installing ubuntu on this laptop.
I followed various guides but every time I can't install Ubuntu.
I created a bootable usb with ubuntu 13.04 and 12.04, when I start the installation I always get the black-screen. I tried to switch monitor with Fn+F8, linked a external monitor, set nomodeset (instead a splash), etc... but the result is always the same.

    Can someone help me?

    Tnx a lot

    What laptop?
    Dual boot with Windows?
    Secure boot enabled?
    UEFI or legacy BIOS?

Much more info needed or we're all shooting in the dark.

    Hi, you're right.
The laptop is a ux31a touch. I need a dual boot with win8 pro, with secure boot and uefi.

    OK, thanks for that.

I can not help with dual booting as I no longer use windows on any computer, but as far as UEFI suystems and secure boot are concerned have a long and careful read through UEFI - Ubuntu Documentation
