Can no longer use meta-slash to perform dabbrev-expand in Emacs

I have two keyboard layouts installed: Swedish and American English. I have configured my settings to use shift+capslock to switch between layouts.

In Emacs, the alt key is bound to meta (default). Before upgrading to 12.04, I have always been able to press alt+slash to perform dabbrev-expand.

However, now, when I have the English keyboard layout and press alt and the key that should generate a slash (which on my Swedish keyboard is labelled "-") a "meta+-" is produced instead of "meta+/". The exact same effect as if I had Swedish keyboard layout activated. So instead, I have to press Esc followed by that key in order to do an expand.

    What could be the problem?

Well, after switching to KDE, everything (and more) works as it should again. Good bye, Unity.
