    Question Amsn

    Hi there.

    How can I download AMSN?

    What command to download via Terminal for AMSN .98.9.........shall it include the necessary plugins?

    You can install this ppa

    ppa:amsn-daily/ppa

    but it doesn't have the version you want, or install it from source.

    I did used aMsn in the past and to be honest, the whole program sucks. Really. The integration in the Gnome desktop was really, really poor. Some options of aMsn which i used under Windows, are not available under Linux. Meanng that the option is there but the checkbox is greyed out. Really annoying. Further more due to the poor integration it is very unstable and not really handy to work with.

    My opinion? It's basically a Windows program forced to make it run under Linux. I won't be surprised that it is using Wine libraries.... Who knows?

    Try other programs like Emesene for instance.
