Can I tweak IcedTea?

I play bridge on line. I have a couple of problems which I have been told are timing issues (somewhere in the general reschedule area). I want to stick with IcedTea rather than install Oracle's Java. With few players using Ubuntu (I have version 12.04) I can't expect Bridge Club Live to spend time solving the issue so I wondered if I can do anything to tweak IcedTea.

You are going to have to be a lot more specific about the problems you are seeing, and since the icedtea plugin is so close to the Sun plugin, that's probably not the problem anyway. I suspect someone is giving you a technical-sounding runaround because they don't actually know what's wrong. You may have to try the Sun JVM just to verify that what you are seeing isn't caused by the plugin.

It works fine with Sun Oracle under XP.
