Moved to FF&H, this has been discussed many times, and the continuing saga of our Forum upgrade, is what is holding up the use of smart phone applications for reading the Forum. Once we have upgraded, we will look into what apps will work with the forum software.

I know there are several apps already, that work with vBulletion, but it is a matter of selecting which ones we choose to support.

You use facebook application or go to facebook everytime from browser ??

This whole move to replace web sites with apps will kill the free internet. It is a much worse idea than SOPA to make the likes of Apple or google responsible of choosing what web page gets an app and what does not.

I don't use facebook.

Tapatalk is an application for forums on mobile devices. As has been stated everything depends on the forum upgrade if we will get this functionality or not.

Not always. I've just installed an "app" for my electricity company. To do anything useful it opens the default browser and directs me to their home page where I have to log in again.

I can read and post to these forums perfectly well using Opera Mini, no dedicated application necessary.
