Questions on installation of latest eclipse release
I want to install the latest version of Eclipse (now 4.3 SDK) in Ubuntu 10.04
I run sudo apt-get install eclipse , but the eclipse version installed is the 3.5 one.
So, now I am looking for two things. The one is how to install the .tar.gz file which I have extracted to my home folder successfully (the only thing that I was able to do).
The second thing is an answer on whether it would be possible to install the 4.3 version, or any latest version through Synaptic or the Software Manager.
I understand that only specific versions get to the Synaptic, but is there a way that I can change this and "get informed" about the latest version available on the eclipse website?
