SNES 9x: Best filter settings?

Does anyone know good settings for filtering the graphics of this emulator and get the best picture from it? (as in best looking, not the most retro)

Course! Best SNES emulator imho.

I tend to use HQ2X, and find that's good enough for me without any fuss. It's a very subjective thing though. The best bet is to just try all the settings and see which looks best for you.

I used to use EPX which makes graphics look more smooth but then it makes text look really bad.

Now im using 2xsal which seems all round better!

I am trying to find the best look but also trying to have SNES9x perform quite well on my netbook. Tips for this are welcome! In particular I want F-Zero to run flawlessly!

I always found 2xSai made text look a bit blurry and almost italic. It's difficult to get a balance, but on my monitor HQ2x looks best.
