I am on a dell xps 15z laptop. The mouse touchpad sensitivity is killing me. Every slight palm touch is registered.

I have an Ubuntu 12.04 install inside windows 7.
Going to System Settings>Mouse and Touchpad, I get a settings window with a single tab. The sensitivity setting is already as low as it goes.

I tried to install the increased settings via:
sudo apt-get install gpointing-device-settings

However, this caused no change to the Mouse and Trackpad settings window, and I can't locate any "GPointing" app anywhere, if there is one. The 'Pointing Devices' app in Ubuntu Software Center has an image of a mouse/trackpad window with 4 tabs.

Is there anything I can do to reduce sensitivity or disable the touchpad temporarily? Am I just missing where another settings window is? I use a usb mouse most of the time.

Thanks for any suggestions!
