I got this from forum moderator URock.
Computer news regarding someone who happens to be a presidential candidate do not, I believe, count as "political in nature." I petition to have my post restored to the Cafe.Originally Posted by uRock

The Forum Code of Conduct is very clear,
"Politics and Religion: These two topics have caused serious problems in the past and are now forbidden topics in the forums. Please find another venue to exercise your freedom of speech on these topics."
I up hold the decision to jail the post in question.

I still fail to see how this thread is political in any way. Its subject matter is hackers, which there seem to be quite a lot of around here.

Perhaps your opposition to the thread is in the title, wherein I identify the man as a presidential candidate. Perhaps you can change the thread title to "Some guy's tax returns ransomed by hackers for $1 Million Bitcoins" to remedy this.

The primary subject is that a USA Presidential candidate is the subject of Cyber Crime. This an international Forum and therefore the subject interest is limited, secondly it is political in nature and our blanket no politics rule applies.

I suppose it was my faulty wording that the subject matter appears to be politics. I do not care about politics. I would not post political matters on this forum and I am quite aware of the rules as I moderate a section of it myself. Is there any way it can be reworded so the subject matter is viewed as a hacker mystery? I'm quite proud of finding that binary code.

To weigh in with a second viewpoint, I also support the thread remaining in the jail for the political content.
I would value another administrators opinion on this post I made.
Thank you
