Installing just Xserver on Ubuntu Server 12.04?

    Hi guys,

Is it possible to install just the Xserver/X.org thing on Ubuntu Server?

    If so, how?

The reasons I ask is because I want to make my own window manager using Xlib and I only want Xserver installed on my Ubuntu server box.

    Thanks.

    Comparison of X windowing systems.

If you do not like Unity, use K/L/X ubuntu or the DE/ WM of your choice.

I do not know if you can just get X but then use the parts you want.
