webcam doesn't work in skype 4

Hi everyone!

I updated Skype to the 4.0.0.8 version, and now the camera doesn't work anymore. Skype recognize the webcam but the box where i should see the video remains always black.

If i use the webcam with guvcview it works correcly.

So what the problem is? how can i fix it?

There are many indications that the new Skype is either defective by design or left with a number of unfixed bugs regarding video (sound seems to work fine). Often the only solution is to stay with the old version.
