You are connect to Internet via ... what ? mobile 3G ? Usb adapter ? What ?

As for the annoying password prompt , I was pretty sure that seahorse will fix that (seahorse is the keyring thing , we tried earlier)

You have to many connections there (in NetWorkManager) ok , this is not bad , but I don't know if you managed to change something , or install something to configure those connections.

I can see something in /opt/ folder regarding to 3G Mobile , and this killall pppd , it seems like a program who wants to kill the Point-to-Point protocol daemon that is already started for some reason. Listed on modules
    Code:
    ppp_deflate
    ppp_async
what do you have inside /etc/modules ?
    Code:
    cat /etc/modules
    Thanks

    Dear NikTh,

I am connected via mobile 3G.

    Code:
    yajnamurti@yajnamurti-laptop:~$ cat /etc/modules
    # /etc/modules: kernel modules to load at boot time.
    #
    # This file contains the names of kernel modules that should be loaded
    # at boot time, one per line. Lines beginning with "#" are ignored.

Re: Annoying password when trying to connect to the Internet

    Hi ,
Do you want to reinstall network-manager and see if this solve your problem ?

    Code:
    sudo apt-get install --reinstall network-manager
    Your connection must be listed.

    Or / And
try to restart network-manager manually ..
    Code:
    sudo service network-manager restart
If you get your connection listed , you can tick the box "Available to all users" and maybe this solve your problem.

    Thanks

I tried to re-install the network but got this:

yajnamurti@yajnamurti-laptop:~$ sudo apt-get install --reinstall network-managerReading package lists... Done

Reinstallation of network-manager is not possible, it cannot be downloaded.

    Airplane mode OFF .

    Test it.

You must have an active internet connection to download and install packages.

    Thanks

Re: Annoying password when trying to connect to the Internet

    Hi ,

    lets fix your sources.list

    Apply below commands with order

    Code:
    sudo cp /etc/apt/sources.list /etc/apt/sources.list.old
    sudo wget "http://pastebin.com/raw.php?i=se5C5qCA" -O /etc/apt/sources.list
    sudo mv /etc/apt/sources.list.d/ /etc/apt/sources.list.d.old/
    sudo mkdir /etc/apt/sources.list.d/
    sudo apt-get update
    sudo apt-get dist-upgrade
I assume you are in INDIA , so I made the sources.list with INDIA SERVER.
    Thanks
