CodeWeavers has pleged to give away crossover for free for 24 hours if 100,000 americans (You can pledge if you're not still) pledge to vote in the 2012 Election.

CodeWeavers, the company behind CrossOver and Wine, has released CrossOver 11.2.1. CrossOver Linux not only allows to run games such as Diablo III and Left 4 Dead, but it also supports running of other Windows applications like Microsoft Office 2010. CrossOver is currently the easiest way to install Steam and the games from the Steam catalog on Linux. For those not aware of it, there is a possibility to check a Windows application on SteamForLinux.com, if it can be installed with CrossOver on Linux.
CrossOver is indeed a commercial application, but CodeWeavers has announced today to give it away for free for 24 hours when "100,000 Americans pledge to vote in the 2012 Presidential election". This pledge can of course be made also by non-Americans here.
