Touchpad not working at all in 12.04 after trying a fresh install.

    Hi,

I've just installed Ubuntu 12.04 LTE on my Fujitsu Siemens Amilo sa 3650 and my touchpad is not working at all.

I first installed 12.04 by upgrading from 11.10 but after reading about some touchpad issues appearing because of installing 12.04 by upgrading from 11.10 I tried doing a fresh install. I got the same result though.

I've also checked gpointing-device-settings by running:
    Code:
    synclient TouchpadOff=0
And I got the following output:

    Code:
Couldn't find synaptics properties. No synaptics driver loaded?
Then I tried reinstalling the driver through synaptic package manager with no better results.

So, now i'm not sure what to do. Ideas anyone?

Have yet to find a solution to this. Would really appreciate any suggestions anyone may have.

I'd be interested in a solution too, after a fresh install of 12.04 this morning, worked ok on 10.10. I have to boot up with a usb mouse connected to use the laptop

had to wait until midnight ( free broadband ) until I could update my new system and install some stuff, now everything that I had issues with, seems to work as it should.
