In a past life experimenting with Ubuntu I had a User Name tied to an e-mail address that is defunct owing to a defunct hosting company (AFMU). Since retrieving a forgotten password requires that the e-mail address be current, the User Name is also defunct.

How do I get this fixed and get rid of my temporary User Name?
