Afatech AF9035 driver installation problem

Hello Everyone!

I am a noobie here and trying out Linux Mint13 (kernal 3.2.0). After much deliberation and countless crashing and getting infected by viruses on my Win7 OS, I am intending on using Linux Mint 13 as my main OS. As always, I have a lot to learn and am well on the way!

The issue that rattled me was how to install Wand TV with afatec AF9035 driver on Linux Mint 13. Earlier I was using Ubuntu 11.10 with Cinnamon but now I am using Linux Mint 13 Cinnamon. I had asked for help on these forums but nothing happened.

Anyways to cut the story short, I have found a link which explains how to install those drivers.

It works for AF9015, AF9033 as well. There are still pending issues with AF9035 as the driver and latest firmware (dvb-usb-af9035-02.fw) is not included in the package. I am hoping that it will be included in the future.

Follow the steps. Copy-Paste of three commands on the terminal and hopefully you will be smiling
