My touchpad suddenly stopped working properly. The right hand edge stopped working. i.e. it would not scroll anymore and tapping the top and bottom right corners would no longer act as the middle and right-hand buttons.
I searched the web and found a thread that said use this command:
sudo echo options psmouse proto=exps > /etc/modprobe.d/psmouse.modprobe
The right hand edge now scrolls but when I try to configure the touchpad with synaptiks it says no touchpad detected. It seems to be acting as a ps2 mouse only. How can I get it back to the way it was?
