Physical drive Ubuntu VirtualBox guest from Windows?

    Hi all,

I find several guides on doing the opposite; booting an existing Windows partition under Ubuntu using VirtualBox, but I can't seem to find guides explaining how to do this the other way around.

I have the following harddrive setup, dual-boot configuration:
Disk 1: Windows 7 x64 installation (partition 1), Data partition (partition 2). Both are NTFS formatted.
    Disk 2: Ubuntu installation.

I would like to be able to boot the Ubuntu installation from within Windows using VirtualBox. How do I do this with Ubuntu?

I've found a guide explaining how to do this with arch Linux, but I don't think this approach will work directly with Ubuntu and I'd like som assistance in modifying the process accordingly.

    All help greatly appreciated.
    Thanks!

I guess this is either not possible or not very common..

Seesm like that guide should work for you. Arch is based on Ubuntu, and nothing in that guide seems specific to Arch. All those commands wil work the same in both Arch and Ubuntu.

As an occasional Arch user, I'm convinced Arch is not an Ubuntu derivative.
