what are your system specifications? can you boot into live OS (boot form media and then choose try it)?:

yes i can boot the os and install it fine but its after i install it and restart the computer it just stays at a purple screen and i cant do anything
my netbook is
CPU : Intel Atom N450, 1.66GHz
- Memory (RAM) : 1GB, quick reaction
- Graphic Card: Mobile Intel(R) 945 Express Chipset Family, 128 MB
- Graphic Card Controller: Intel integration GM950
- Hard Drive: : 160GB NAND FLASH

I get the same thing after I installed either of these Mint 13 KDE & Cinn., Kubuntu. I installed re-installed numerous times, tried this and tried that.
Still not booting.
Had a spare hard drive that I thought I would hook up, and install the above OS on. Keeping my Ubuntu on it's own drive just in case. I did disconnect sata and power wires and then plug them into my spare drive.
my mate said it could be my drivers for my video card
